The Multiphase Flow and
Corrosion System “MFCS”
at CC Technologies in Dublin, Ohio is a large scale pilot plant test facility for multiphase flow and corrosion studies.

CCT’s “MFCS” staff offer:

  • Leading experts in multiphase flow and corrosion/erosion
  • Consulting services for multiphase flow, flow improvement, corrosion/erosion monitoring and its instrumentation
  • Specialized consultancy in corrosion inhibitor selection and total corrosion management system

Operating conditions:

  • Pressure: up to 10 bars
  • Temperature: up to 130° C
  • Superficial Gas Velocity: 0 to 25 m/s
  • Superficial Liquid Velocity: 0 to 5 m/s
  • Liquid Viscosity Range: 0.5 to 300 cP

MFCS capabilities include:

  • Inclinable 10 cm (4 inch) diameter, 36 m long, 316L stainless steel flow loop with test section for inserting corrosion probes
  • Low shear progressive cavity pumps for gas and liquid circulation
  • Easy changeability from stainless steel to Plexiglass pipes
  • A transparent pipe section for visual observation up to 10 bars and 150° C
