The CC Technologies family suffered a terrible loss on Tuesday night November 6th with the unfortunate news that Dr. Thomas J. Barlo Ph.D. had passed away. He endured a massive brain hemorrhage on the morning of Saturday November 3rd. Our prayers will be with his wife Cynthia, and five children: Kristen, Kathleen, Kim, Thomas Jr., and Karen.

Dr. Barlo was a Senior Group Leader for CC Technologies Services, Inc. for the past 6 years and was working out of our Chicago, Illinois office. Tom had over twenty years of experience in the fields of corrosion control and material cracking.

His expertise in the fields of cathodic protection and the criteria to apply it effectively, and of stress-corrosion cracking of buried pipelines is recognized nationally and internationally. He has led various multi-disciplinary and international projects to successful conclusion, and used his expertise in materials and electrochemistry to solve complex materials, instrumentation, and process development problems in other related fields of technology.

Tom was an outstanding scientist, devoted father and husband, and a good friend. He will be greatly missed.
