Mark Yunovich |
Mark Yunovich is a Senior Project Manager
with CC Technologies in the Research and Development Department.
In this capacity, he oversees multiple research projects with
a primary focus on underground corrosion of pipelines and
cathodic protection.
In a constant pursuit
of broadening his education, Mark has recently completed
an MBA degree at Fisher School of Business at the Ohio State
University, a top 25 nationally ranked MBA program, graduating
in the upper 15% of his class. This is his third Master's
degree; he also holds a Master's degree in Corrosion (Moscow
Institute of Steel and Alloys) and a Master's degree in Materials
Science (The Ohio State University).
Mark was one of the major contributors to
the FHWA-sponsored study on the Cost of Corrosion in the Unites
States; he was the primary author of several sector analyses,
notably the 'Highway Bridges' sector. The findings were presented
in publications in major industrial magazines and conferences.
Other recent projects of note in which he
was involved as a Principal Investigator are PRCI-sponsored
studies of sacrificial Mg anodes and AC corrosion of buried
pipelines, both completed in 2003. Among multiple projects
Mark is currently managing is the research of the effect of
high cathodic protection potentials on the coatings and steel
properties of the buried pipelines.
He shares his experience
in electrochemistry and knowledge of underground corrosion
and cathodic protection through conducting teaching seminars,
having recently conducted presentations on the use of Coupon
Test Stations in CP control of buried pipelines and applications
of Polarization Resistance Monitor PR4500, an instrument specifically
designed by CC Technologies for determination of corrosion
rate of structures in high resistivity conditions.
