Dr. Oliver Moghissi

Dr. Oliver Moghissi has been promoted to Senior Vice President of CC Technologies Laboratories, Inc. Oliver's background of using corrosion fundamentals to solve a wide range of engineering problems together with his reputation in the technical and industrial communities will facilitate the continued growth of CC Technologies.

Oliver has worked on diverse corrosion problems over nearly 20 years. At CC Technologies he managed the Research Department that conducts applied corrosion and materials research for clients across a range of industry sectors. Highlights of Oliver’s own projects at CC Technologies include the development and validation of corrosion Direct Assessment methods to ensure pipeline integrity.

Before joining CC Technologies, Oliver gained corrosion experience as a contract researcher (Southwest Research Institute, Center for Nuclear Waste Regulatory Analyses), an operating company engineer supporting international facilities (ARCO Oil and Gas Company), and a basic researcher (Ph.D. University of Florida & M.S. University of Virginia, funded by U.S. Office of Naval Research).

Dr. Moghissi is well-known to members of NACE International (www.nace.org) through his presentations, publications, and committee contributions. His present roles include chair of the Public Affairs Committee, incoming-chair of the Professional Activities Committee, and chair of task groups to develop technical standards on internal corrosion direct assessment (ICDA). He received the NACE Presidential Achievement Award in 2003.

Oliver is married to Lisa and has 3 children Karl (7), Maria (5) and Alan (2).
