| Accurate, consistent measurements
of Coupon Test Station data by the CM3400 allows
optimization of the CP the system: |
| Mitigating
pipe corrosion |
| Minimizing
coating degradation |
| Maximizing
CP system life |
|
|
The CM3400 measures interrupted coupon
polar-ized (off-) potential, native potential, pipe on-potential,
and CP current density. It automatically monitors and logs
data from coupon test stations.
The CM3400 provides a versatile, reliable,
and cost effective means of collecting and storing accurate
polarized off-potential, on-potential, and current data. This
information is indispensable in monitoring the effectiveness
of cathodic portection in difficult areas including:
- Dynamic Stray Current
[DC transit]
- Static Stray Current
[Industrial sites]
- Telluric/Long-Line
Activity
- Sacrificial CP
Systems
- Second party CP
systems
Benefits
of the CM3400 are:
- Polarized potential
information without interruption of the CP system
- Automated 100mV
Depolarization Assessment
- Easy use
- Faster than manual
data recording
- Eliminates errors
in manual data recording
- Eliminates inconsistencies
in inter-preting instrument readings
- High input impedance
for high resistivity soils
- Built in data logger
and continuous measurement modes
- Continuous measurement
mode provides off-potential, on-potential, and current as
a function of time for accurate analysis of stray currents
- Automatically down
loads unique test station tag when used in con-junction
with the CS3100
- Compatible with
any coupon test station
With the CM3400, the
level of cathodic pro-tection is easily assessed. The CM3400
takes the guesswork out of measuring coupon off-poten-tials
and current densities. Accurate polarized potentials are possible
for even the most difficult monitoring conditions of buried
pipelines.
Simply connect the
CM3400 to the CS3100 coupon test station and measurements
are auto-matically performed. The unique test station number
and a time tag are stored along with the potential and current
data.
