Flow Inducer

The CC Technologies/MIST Inline Separation System is a cost-effective, efficient device for use in multiphase environments. The system provides exceptional separation between phases, for a fraction of the cost of expensive gravity separators and hydrocyclones. The System can vary in length, from 6 – 10 ft (2 – 3 m) but its flow inducer remains consistent to the diameter of the pipe, making things manageable and conducive to the operator. Since it has no moving parts, it can be placed inline but its small footprint makes it less obtrusive than a gravity separator.

The CC Technologies/MIST Inline Separation System is applicable for gas/solid, gas/liquid, gas/liquid/solid and oil/water systems. The efficiency of this separator has been determined and tested in an industrial scale, pilot plant test facility at MIST utilizing 4-inch diameter pipes.

This Separation System works to protect your pipes by removing the sand and water that can lead to corrosion and erosion, this means that you get a cleaner product plus production problems can be avoided early on. All of this can add up to substantial savings as the current costs of separation can run into the millions of dollars.

Don’t just take our word for it, let us make an appointment for you to view our test facilities and witness the revolution in separation systems - The CC Technologies/MIST Inline Separation System.

Using the Inline Separation System
System Type
Operating Range
Separation Effectiveness
Gas/Solid Gas: 6 – 30ft/s (2 to 10 m/s)
Solids: up to 350 microns
> 99%
Gas/Liquid Gas: 6 – 30 ft/s (2 to 10 m/s)
Liquid: 0.003-1.5 ft/s (0.01 to .05 m/s)
> 98%
Oil/Water Oil: 1 – 10 ft/s (0.3 – 3 m/s)
Water: 1 – 10 ft/s (0.3 – 3 m/s)
Water cut: 10 – 99%
Oil viscosity: 1 – 100 cp
> 90% in 1 stage
> 95% with 2 stages
Liquid/Solid Liquid: 1 – 10 ft/s (0.3 – 3 m/s)
Solids: up to 350 microns
> 98%
Gas/Liquid/Solid Gas : 6 – 30 ft/s (2 to 10 m/s)
Liquid: 1 – 10 ft/s (0.3 – 3 m/s)
Solids: up to 350 microns
> 98% (Two stages needed for separation of heavier phases)

Operational Requirement – Operator must break tight emulsions before entering separator when tight emulsion exists in pipelines. If the de-emulsifier is effective within 3 minutes, the separation effectiveness is unchanged.
