Decisions
regarding the future integrity of a structure or its components
depend entirely upon an accurate assessment of the conditions
affecting its corrosion and rate of deterioration. With this
information, an owner can make an informed decision as to
the type, cost and urgency of remedial measures. Monitoring
corrosion characteristics of a proposed or existing structure
can lead to the proper selection of longer life materials,
durable and protective coatings, and corrosion control measures
through cathodic protection or water treatment.
CC Technologies has
consistently been a leader in corrosion monitoring. Our engineers
have designed, installed and tested corrosion monitoring programs
for such diverse structures as nuclear waste storage facilities,
power plant cooling water piping, dock structures, reinforced
concrete tunnels, driven structural pilings, earth retaining
walls, and a variety of tanks and piping applications.
Our engineers also
have been instrumental in the development of equipment and
techniques used throughout the world, which evaluate the corrosion
of metals in soil, concrete, and water environments.
| Services
available include: |
| Corrosion Assessment /Audit |
| Characterization of Environment Chemistry
and Corrosivity |
| Corrosion Rate Measurement |
| Related Parameter Measurement (e.g. potential,
galvanic currents, temperature, hydrogen penetration) |
Corrosion rate methods employed by CC
Technologies include: linear polarization resistance (LPR),
electrical resistance (ER), coupon weight loss, electrochemical
noise (EN), and non-destructive testing (NDT).
Our research and testing division offers
complete laboratory services to evaluate corrosivity of field
samples or simulated environments. A full range of corrosion
testing is also available to characterize the behavior of
materials in specific environments.
CC Technologies' staff
of registered engineers, NACE International certificated specialists
and technicians, and qualified staff of engineers and technicians
is dedicated to solving corrosion problems through innovation.
